We do not build pressure treated products such as storage buildings, mini barns, playhouses or any sided building for storage. Pressure treating does not protect from moisture and UV rays which causes wood to crack, weather, gray, delaminate, splinter, expand and contract. This causes the siding to come apart at the joints and look bad. Pressure treating only aids in keeping out insects and preventing wood to rot. Pressure treated wood needs to be sealed or painted if it is to maintain its integrity and appearance. We use pressure treated wood for runners and floor joist where it is needed to protect from insects and rot where appearance is not important. Our painted storage buildings, mini barns, and playhouses maintain their integrity approximately 8-10 years before they need to be repainted. Any wood sided building that is not coated with paint or high quality sealer, pressure treated or not, needs to be maintained every 2 years with Clorox and sealer.  We at Mountain Barn Builders, LLC guarantee our products.
