Paint Colors
Our standard paint colors are Sherwin Williams semi-gloss, applied in two coats over primed LP Smart Siding. Need a different color? We can match any Sherwin Williams color — just bring us the SW number or a paint chip.
Custom color matching: For any color not listed here, we can match it through Sherwin Williams. We need the SW number of the color, or a physical paint chip. Note: a fee applies for custom color mixing and pickup. No discounts are given for customer-supplied paints.

Stain Colors
Cedar buildings and log-and-lap siding are finished with a Sherwin Williams DeckScape two-coat stain process — a base coat followed by a UV-protective finish coat. Three standard stain colors are available.
Special-order stains: We can special-order stain colors to match your existing building or taste, for an additional charge. Contact us for details.

Proper ventilation keeps your building dry and comfortable year-round.
Standard vent: 8″×16″ gable end vent — included as standard on all buildings.
Optional upgrade: 3′ ridge vent sections can be added along the ridge line for improved airflow and moisture control.
Insulation makes your building comfortable year-round and helps protect stored items from temperature extremes. Four insulation options are available.
- Double Bubble (R7) — Layered plastic vapor barrier. Great as a basic moisture and thermal barrier. Priced per sq. ft.
- Batten Fiberglass (R13) — Standard batt insulation, one of the most common options. Priced per sq. ft.
- 2″ Vinyl Back (R13) — Vinyl-faced insulation for a cleaner interior look. Priced per sq. ft.
- Open Cell Foam Spray — Expands to fill every gap for superior air sealing. Priced per board ft.
- Closed Cell Foam Spray — Highest R-value per inch, excellent moisture resistance. Priced per board ft.
Framing upgrades and interior deadwood let you customize and finish the inside of your building the way you want.
Wall Framing: Framing the interior walls is priced per linear foot of wall. To add OSB sheathing to the framed walls, there is an additional charge per linear foot of wall per side.
Deadwood: Our buildings do not come standard with deadwood — the additional blocking needed to nail or fasten interior paneling, sheetrock, or other wall finishes. If you plan to finish the interior, you will need corner studs and extra ceiling joists added. Call our corporate office for pricing.
All buildings come with a solid standard floor. An upgrade to a thicker, higher-performance subfloor is available for workshops, studios, and heavy-use applications.
Standard floor: 5/8″ T&G subfloor on 2×6 pressure-treated floor joists, spaced 16″ on center. The floor joists are pressure treated to protect against termites and moisture.
Upgrade to 3/4″ subfloor (Advantech): We do not use pressure-treated plywood for upgrades because it swells and delaminates when soaked in treatment. Instead we use 3/4″ Advantech or equal — it looks great and doesn’t swell or shrink. Priced per linear foot of floor length.
12″ OC floor joist upgrade: Tighten the joist spacing from 16″ to 12″ on center for extra stiffness under heavy loads. Priced per linear foot of floor.
Lofts dramatically increase storage capacity by making use of the overhead space inside your building. They can be placed on the ends or sides of the building.
Standard loft: 4′ deep — can be placed on the ends or sides of the building. Priced per linear foot for a 4′ loft.
Deeper lofts: Lofts can go beyond the standard 4′, up to 8′ deep. A loft deeper than 4′ (e.g., 6′ or 8′) is priced at double the 4′ rate.
Loft ladders: Loft ladders are sold separately and do not come attached, so they can be repositioned or removed as needed.
Shelves and workbenches keep your tools and supplies organized and off the floor. Shelves can be placed on any wall, under windows, or under lofts.
Standard shelves: Typically made from 7/16″ OSB, approximately 17″ deep.
Workbench (single shelf): 36″ high — priced per linear foot.
Double shelf: A second shelf approximately 20″ above the workbench top — priced per linear foot.
Shelves can be single, double, or as many as needed. If you want a custom spacing arrangement, let us know the measurements when ordering.
Finishing the interior walls gives your building a clean, polished look and makes it more comfortable to work or spend time in. Three materials are available, all priced per square foot of floor.
- T1-11 Siding — Grooved LP siding applied to the interior walls for a classic look. Priced per sq. ft. of floor.
- OSB (Oriented Strand Board) — An affordable, sturdy choice that holds screws well for hanging shelves and accessories. Priced per sq. ft. of floor.
- 1×6 Pine — Tongue-and-groove pine boards give a warm, cabin-like feel. A premium option that looks great in studios, offices, and she sheds. Priced per sq. ft. of floor.
Note: All interior finish prices are per square foot of floor. Deadwood (corner studs, extra ceiling joists) may be required before interior finish can be applied — see the Wall Framing & Deadwood section above.
