1. Are there any additional assembly costs?
No. The price of our units includes professional delivery and set up within 30 miles of the sales location. Additional mileage may apply. If the delivery process takes over an hour you will be charged $110.00 per hour and $35 per additional person-hour (see question 3). In most cases, blocks are needed for leveling. Contact your local sales associate for block charges and any other delivery fees.
2. How long does it take to get my storage building or playset delivered?
We pride ourselves on delivering your building promptly. If in-stock, expect delivery (weather permitting and if the site is prepped for installation) within two weeks. If there is a specific date sooner than that when you would prefer the building to be delivered, we will do our best to meet that deadline. When an order is placed for a custom build, the sales agent will advise you when to expect your building delivered and of any delivery charges.
3. What site preparation is required for me to do?
The site should be flat, level, and well-drained. If leveling requires a portion of the building to be 24" or more above the ground when leveled, extraordinary measures have to be taken and additional charges for equipment, block, etc., may apply. Ensure clearance from overhead branches and wires. Ensure the drive is suitable for a truck with a trailer to traverse. One hour of delivery/set-up is figured into the price of your building. Any time, more than one hour, spent installing your building, will be billed at your expense, at a rate of $110.00 per hour. If additional men are needed to assist, the cost per additional man is $35.00/ hour. Please call for a preliminary site inspection if you are not sure if your site is suitable, as is.
4. Do I need to be home while my storage building, gazebo, or other item is being delivered and set up?
Yes. We ask that you are initially available to show our installer the proper placement of your unit and are also available to do a walk-through inspection with our installer upon completion.
5. What about covenant restrictions or permits?
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the building is permitted in the intended location. We strongly recommend verifying your installation by contacting the Home Owners Association. We are compliant with most Home Owners Associations covenants and restrictions but will custom build to specifications upon request. Custom color matching paint is optional for an additional fee! We offer hardy plank, D-Log, and vinyl as well as other siding options. Bring your covenants and restrictions with you when planning your building and we will assist in ensuring compliance.
6. What is your standard warranty?
Mountain Barn Builders has the longest builder warranty around! We have been constructing buildings for more than 30 years. We guarantee the construction of our buildings for *8 years! Once this 8-year period of warranty runs out, please refer to the manufacturers’ materials warranties.
D-Log/ Stained buildings have a workmanship warranty of up to 1 year, as, without proper maintenance and re-staining of buildings, deterioration will occur.

7. What size and style of building are right for me?
Considering the extensive styles of buildings we offer and the option of having your building custom-made, Mountain Barn Builders is sure to meet your building needs. Consider the size of the area your building will fit on. Allow for clearance of 4’ around the area for building. Think about your storage needs today, and tomorrow. Often it makes more sense to buy a larger building today, rather than having to purchase a second or larger building later. If making a larger item purchase, consider upgrading the building materials you choose and obtaining the 8-year warranty to protect your investment. Then choose the style and colors that best fit your personal tastes.
8. Are your installers and builders insured?
Having someone in your backyard that you can trust is important. Mountain Barn Builders maintains all necessary licenses, and insurances, and requires specific training on equipment and installation for your safety and protection.
9. Can my shed be moved after it has been installed?
Of course! Give us a call and we will be glad to make arrangements to send an installer to move your building. A per-hourly fee will be based on location and mileage.
10. What payment options do you provide?
We sell RENT TO OWN with NO CREDIT CHECK. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover credit cards; personal checks; and financing through local banks are available.
11. You’ve built my storage building, I love it, but I want more options…
Mountain Barn Builders offers a wide array of options and accessories and can customize each building to adequately meet your needs. When placing your order with one of our sales associates, please be sure to communicate your needs and intended use. They will ensure you get the appropriate accessories. If for some reason you feel that an additional accessory or option is needed at a later date, please give us a call and we will be glad to quote you an installed price. Please remember, it’s always more cost-effective to order all of your options during the initial purchase.
12. What if I am unhappy with my purchase?
We offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If it’s not right, we will make it right! Your complete and total satisfaction is guaranteed.
